Custom Exhaust Project: 1964 Jaguar E Type

The Challenge:

Install a complete exhaust system in a 1964 Jaguar E Type that had been modified with the addition of a small block Chevy engine. Needed to take clearance, serviceability, and aesthetics into account.

The Story:

When Bruce A. said he needed a custom exhaust system he wasn't kidding. He had a '64 Jaguar with a small block Chevy engine and wanted the exhaust from exhaust manifolds to the rear resonators. He also needed to have it "sectioned" so he could access various areas of the underside of the vehicle for future repairs. Other requirements:

  • Minimize vibration and resonance 
  • Custom fabricate and install a heat shield to keep the floorboards cool
  • Stock resonators to be installed in the original position
  • Sectioned high-low exhaust
  • Cross-over tube

The Result:
